شهر هیوستون در ایالت تگزاس دارای یک تابستان گرم و شرجی و طولانی و زمستانی مفید و مختصر است. شهر هیوستون در حال رشد بوده و میزان رضایت زندگی در آن هر سال بیشتر می شود. این شهر از نظر جمعیت چهارمین شهر بزرگ ایالات متحده آمریکا محسوب می شود و دارای یکی از متنوع ترین فرهنگها و قومیت ها می باشد. شهرهای زیادی در نزدیکی هیوستون وجود دارند که یکی از محبوب ترین آنها برای ایرانیان شهر کِیتی می باشد که در غرب هیوستون قراردارد. یکی از شهرهای دیگر نزدیک هیوستون شهر شوگرلند است که در جنوب هیوستون قراردارد. از شهرهای دیگر نزدیک هیوستون می توان از شهرهای اسپرینگ، وودلند، تامبال که در سمت شمال هیوستون قرار دارند. یکی از جاذبه های شهر هیوستون تنوع غذا و رستوران های آن است و بسیاری از مردم را در آخر هفته ها به هیوستون می کشاند.
